Nintendo Switch controllers

Hiya,

My son is getting a Nintendo switch for xmas but I will need extra controllers for us all to play games together and was wondering if it will be okay to buy non branded controllers? I don't really want to spend £65 for the extra set of Nintendo controllers. Has anyone else bought the cheaper ones?

I'm reading up on this as I have the same issue. I think some games you can use one half of the joy con, so you can have two players with the controllers in the box. Others need you to have a whole joycean per player.

Not sure about non branded joy cons, but some of the pro controllers seem to get decent reviews, for me the bonus is they also work with the Wii, so that's the route I've gone.
