Elf on the shelf - what has your elf done today?

I thought we could share ideas with one another by sharing what mischief our elves have gotten up to.
I'm always struggling for ideas what to do with my elf and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Tomorrow morning our elf will have made a huge mess trying to get the kids breakfast ready.

The elves have got tangled in some new gingerbread lights that i bought for the kids room.

Our Elf doesn't come until we put the decorations up and knows we are celebrating. So I have about 5 more days of peace but watching with interest for ideas!

Our elf did fuck all.

Yesterday she made play doh shapes and left the play doh everywhere. Tonight she is reading stories and cant decide so has lots of books out.

Nothing as have managed to convince DD she would hate one last year.....we will see what happens after school tomorrow......I do adore Christmas and trees and decorations are up but I hate the elf thing.

I've never done an elf before and tbh I can't be arsed but the 6yo bought herself one as all her friends have them so now I feel guilty... I've decided our elf isn't an arsehole though (my kids don't need any more encouragement) so there won't be much "naughty" stuff going on.

Day 1 tomorrow and he has glued a printed Santa suit and hat onto a photo of DD just to make her look a bit funny!

He also has plans to make us a pot of porridge, hand deliver a colouring picture in an envelope, cut out an elf puzzle and leave it for DD to make, draw a moustache on a picture of DD, play hide and seek, set up Connect 4 for us to play, eat some popcorn in front of the tv, get stuck in the fridge, make a Lego fort for himself, play pairs with a deck of cards, ride a "unicorn" hobbyhorse (candy cane with a printed unicorn head stuck on) and he will wrap up the livingroom door on Christmas Eve.

With that said my plans always go tits up so who knows what he'll do :o

Bastard bloody elf, like I've not got enough to do.

Yesterday they brought advent calendars. Tonight they've taken a dive into a different advent calendar which is made up of little buckets. They're bringing boarding passes for Lapland later this week!

Today they bought advent calendars, it's now asleep in the tissue box with a tissue blanket

Tonight our elves (we have 2) 🤦🏼‍♀️ Have tackled our santa statue put a bag over his head, stolen his reindeer and sleigh with the presents in 😂

We have an angel and an elf. The kids know they’re not real as we don’t do Santa etc. But dd(10) said she’d like a spy/ detective advent calendar this year (the question was did she want a Harry Potter funko pop one!!!) so muggins here has been buying little bits to plan a spy/detective advent. So this morning the elf had a note in code inviting her to become a spy if she could decipher the coded note. Tonight I’ve set up a crime scene complete with skeleton to be built up tomorrow. (Which I won’t see her come down to as I’m on an early shift). I must be mad.
