Would it be mean of me to put some briefs in the stocking of my 2.5 year old that hasn’t yet potty trained yet and has quite an aversion to the potty currently?

I thought maybe if they come from FC himself that it might help encourage

Not mean at all. It's a good idea.

pictish · 01/12/2019 20:31

Good idea!

Bluerussian · 01/12/2019 20:34

Very good idea, really pretty ones, they'll be encourage her.

CupoTeap · 01/12/2019 20:35

Sounds perfect, I'd go further and do a letter from Santa too

mynameisMrG · 01/12/2019 20:35

Exciting pants certainly helped my son. He chooses them himself every morning because they have paw patrol characters on them. I think it’s a good idea

coragreta · 01/12/2019 20:35

As well as other stuff? My little boy (22 months) is getting big boy pants as we are starting potty training in the new year. At this age they care more about unwrapping stuff and will have other toys etc too I assume.

DelurkingAJ · 01/12/2019 20:36

It’s also (IMO) a splendid habit...DSs always get character pants and Xmas socks from Santa...I’m a big Duran of a few useful presents!

DelurkingAJ · 01/12/2019 20:36

A big FAN!

NemophilistRebel · 01/12/2019 20:37

Oh yes not just pants, that would be really mean Grin
There’s toys too.

Il pick out some lovely ones.

A letter from Fc sounds like a great idea. Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't do a letter as he's 2.5 and you're setting yourself up for years of nonsense. But pants in the stocking is very common.

MrsJonesAndMe · 03/12/2019 20:22

The Easter bunny left my son some Wink It worked, but he was older than that and I was desperate! You know your child though...

NemophilistRebel · 03/12/2019 20:23

I found that bing does a potty training book too so il get the book and the pants - thanks all

Yabu for calling them briefs

Skybooks · 03/12/2019 20:38

Last year Santa took the nappies (for the babies) and left pants instead, we've never looked back

NemophilistRebel · 03/12/2019 20:39

@LoisLittsLover Grin

Saying it out loud I somewhat agree iabu there.

Pants it is!

NemophilistRebel · 03/12/2019 20:40

@Skybooks I’d love to do that but it means going full steam into potty training over Christmas with all the travelling.
Sounds very brave

New pants are a Christmas staple in our house! Dd1 is 16 and still gets new pants from Santa

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/12/2019 21:02

Get the wretched elf on the shelf to decorate your tree with some nice new pants as well for good measure!
