I’m looking for recommendations of Christmas Days out within a couple of hours of Hampshire. I know I’ve left it late but have a few spare days and would love to take my 3 girls (7-10 years) somewhere festive. Happy to spend a bit of money.

Looking at 4 Kingdoms, Winter Wonderland, Finkley, Marwell etc.

TIA!!

Keydell garden centre. Everyone in South Hampshire goes at Christmas. Slightly nuts garden centre with a large section of fantastic decorations, parrots, a model village set up, weird garden ornaments The are charging for their woodland walk this year.

Weald and Downland is just over the border in Sussex but has orginal houses from every period in time. They dress them for Christmas authentically.

Longleat festival of light. Not in Hampshire, but about an hour from some bits of it.

This weekend it’s the Victorian Christmas festival at Portsmouth.
A trip to Winchester would make a nice festive day out. There’s quite a large Christmas market and an ice rink in the town centre. Winchester science centre has the Christmas Invention Studio where children get a 45 minute workshop with Santa and his elves and on the outskirts of Winchester you can ride the Watercress steam train with Santa.
Beaulieu is very festive www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/victorian-christmas/ and there’s lots to see and do.
