Baubles for outside?

I have 2 Trees/shrubs outside my front door. I want to hang baubles but not my ‘naice’ ones for inside!

Anyone know or seen any suitable?

Thanks.

Have a look at the Sarah Raven website - lovely (but quite expensive) outdoor decorations.

We used to hang baubles on a small tree in our front garden. Just used to buy standard, cheap baubles, but the large ones. You don’t need “special” outdoor baubles.

Just get some from the range or b&m?

I was going cheap but worried about rain making them look crap!

Thanks.

Will they not get nicked? They would round here 🤔

I got extra large ones from Waitrose last year. They were glittery and gorgeous and looked amazing. £5 each but 3 for 2. I bought about 25! I'm mental.

You could spray them with waterproof spray, would that work?

I do this and just use a cheap set of silver baubles from home bargains. They’ve lasted 4 years so far....

Thanks for this thread! I was wondering about whether I could stick some cheap baubles out the front too.

Jungfraujoch · 24/11/2019 17:17

Cheap it is then!

I've got a set of shiny plastic ones that have been outside each year for 10yrs that I think were from Tesco's - they still look fab, the only ones that didn't last were the glittery ones as the glitter started to come off but that still took a few years and it's quite an exposed spot.

I got mine from Poundland. Shiny gold, red and silver. Bargain(obviously).

Got lots of compliments last year. That may be more of a challenge this year as there's a large skip, portaloo and building materials to compete with. And mess,of course.

I did this one (stormy) year and they all blew up the road! Top tip: tie them on Smile

I have done this for quite a few years now, just get cheap plastic ones (I use large ones) from the Range, BnM and so on, by the time you get some outdoor lights (the ones with battery's) they look great, but I also tie/hang them on with florists wire or you could use general garden plastic twine stuff.

I have a few box hedge balls and I again use florists wire to attach the bauble upside down with the the wire planted in the soil, hope that makes sense, just small scatted around

Have seen 'proper' ones specifically for outside, they looked the same to me and cost a whole lot more.
