Secret Santa help

I'm doing the works secret santa and for the third year in a row I've had a man - who are much harder to choose a gift for than women imo.

Well this year I have a 21 year old man. Who doesn't drink so alcohol is out. I know he is an avid bowls player (yes the green bowling usually associated with old men). Many of the 'bowls' themed gifts have grandad on them 😂

He is close to his little sister so takes her to see Take That and Disney on ice but I'm not sure if Take That and the like are actually his choice of of music.

He works in admin but desk hops depending on where he is working so I can't really get him anything that would stay on a desk. He wears a uniform so a tie is out and we have work lanyards and personalised ones are frowned upon.

Budget is £15. What can I get?

I've thought;

Bowls novelty mug
Key ring
Novelty socks...

These just seem really lame.

I'm open to ideas!

Nice stationary or a bottle of wine, I'd say.

@Stompythedinosaur, OP said that alcohol is out!

Can you speak to so rone who knows him better than you do, and ask for ideas?

My go to present for random men would be a cheese board, but not sure if a 21 year old would like this

PrettyShiningPeople · 22/11/2019 13:21

How about a nice thermal coffee mug?

PrettyShiningPeople · 22/11/2019 13:22

Some nice gloves that work on a touchscreen

If he likes bowls what about a selection of consumables - grippy shit, polishy stuff, posh polishing rag....

Nice hamper of different bits and pieces could work - fudge, chocs, hot chocolate, coffee, posh tea and the like if you wanted to go down that route. I feel like a hamper of those bits and pieces suit most people - watch what kind of things he snacks on during the day and get inspiration from that Smile

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried asking another colleague and been trying to suss him out at lunch but little success.

He doesn't drink many hot drinks (a novelty bowls mug and accompanying nice bits was on my list)

I seen some ball polishing sets I thought about but worried they would be something he had and I wasn't sure if it was something you needed multiples off.

I like the idea of nice gloves 👍

I had the idea of getting him a nice razor set (i got my dh one from harrys.com last year and he said its a great razor) My db said he would love that but dh said he wouldn't from a colleague).

I did a nice hamper for another male a food hamper two years ago. I couldn't tell if he liked it or not. As a 21 yr old living at home i wondered if he might think its more like what his mum would be buying?

Thanks for the suggestions though folks, its really helpful.
