Are they worth getting for kids?

I don’t want to waste money if they’re really rubbish.

My sons got one. They're quite good. I used a video from youtube to download the google play store on there because he likes to watch youtube and you cant get YouTube kids on there without it.

How old is he?

I think they're great for younger kids but older ones would find them boring

For kids age 8 and 9?

Wish I could have a play with one before committing.

I brought one for my daughter two years ago it's still as good as new and has plenty on it to keep her occupied! I would recommend them.
