Garland for stairs

I would like to get a garland for the hallway stairs. All the ones I see online are on a fireplace. Are they the same ones or do you get longer ones for stairs?
Any recommendations or ones to avoid?
I would possibly like one with lights but would need to be battery as no socket nearby.

I got a lovely one on Amazon a couple of years ago. Artificial obviously. It has berries and pine cones and I added some strings of battery-operated lights - really small ones eg from Tiger or similar.

Doesn’t matter if they are shown on a fireplace - you can out it where you like. Just make sure it’s a long one.

I got some inexpensive ones in Home bargains! I can't remember if they are lit- they have some baubles. I'll thread them around the banisters. Battery lights are easy to add.

There was a recent thread about stair garlands here which you might find interesting.

Oh thanks will have a look TrickyD.
I have no idea what I’m doing, haven’t even worked out how I’m going to attach it so need all the help I can get!

I'm looking for a garland too, found a 12ft in M&S but still looking!

We got two long ones from a garden centre that have gold stars on them. I bought some wired red ribbon, pine cones, orange slices and cinnamon sticks from the florist’s section and added them.

We’ve attached ours with dark green cable ties and then just moved the branches to disguise them. A friend of ours has a hand rail attached to the wall and uses cable clips (the nails with the white plastic hooks attached) but she does have to polyfill and re paint every January, so not ideal.
