Bugs in the kitchen game

Hi

Does anyone have the Bugs in the Kitchen board game? Is it any good?

My 6.5yo DS has had his eye on it, but I'm dithering as to whether it's a bit boring / to young for him?

Grandparents buy a gift (suggested by us) around the £20 mark so would fit the bill.

Thanks!

We have it and enjoy it. Quick game so that appeals to us :)

We've had this for a few years and it's a great game, we have wide range of ages and everyone can and want to play! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

blamethecat · 16/11/2019 15:12

We have it and love it too, really quick to get out and play.

LoveAGoodToddlerTantrum · 16/11/2019 15:13

We really like it. It's good fun and appeals to all ages (I genuinely find it fun too)

Adesignforstrife · 16/11/2019 17:45

It's good. Perfect age too.

Bluewavescrashing · 16/11/2019 17:47

If you have hexbugs already is it worth getting as well? Or can you recreate it?

Nordicwannabe · 16/11/2019 21:46

Perfect age for it, and a great game. Buy an extra hexbug to play a 2-bug game, which fun. More than 2 and they seem to get stuck.

We bought it for our 6 year old lasting christmas and we all love it. Certainly not too old, and much better than most Hexbug products.

Brilliant. This sounds a great idea then. So glad I asked. Thanks very much all.

DS2 (7) has had it since last Christmas and still plays with it regularly. Have a look at Bugacula too - similar idea but a bit more fun. Needs adult help to set up though.

Brilliant game. We’ve had it for a few years and it appeals to all ages. I’ve also played it as a drinking game Grin

blamethecat · 17/11/2019 20:44

Thanks to this thread we've played tonight Grin

SpanielPlusToddler · 18/11/2019 23:32

I was considering it too. Do you think it’s too hard for a just turned 4 year old? Thanks

blamethecat · 20/11/2019 11:24

I don't think it would be too hard, ds had been asking for a couple of years before we got it (or worked out what he was on about!) so probably played in pre-school.

elQuintoConyo · 20/11/2019 22:36

Is it this?

We have this travel-size, nearly-8yo loves it, has had it two years I think. Small enough to take camping! Big hit.
