What else can I buy dd 13 ?

Dd is almost 13, has ASD, loves building things and breaking things so I’m limited to what I buy her, I don’t want to buy stuff that will end up in landfill and don’t want to buy for the sake of it but need a couple more gifts as she likes unwrapping. So far I have bought her the Lego London bus as her main gift and the playmobil food van so have spent quite a bit on 2 gifts. She still likes toys but they have to be pretty sturdy or rebuildable such as Lego. I can’t buy her make up or toiletries as she just smears them everywhere. I will get her some clothes but that doesn’t really have the wow factor when you have ASD. Any ideas?

What does she like to do? Maybe a trip out/weekend away if she's keen on that. I'm replacing more and more physical gifts with experiences as they just don't need anything

Depending on where you are in the country, the lego discovery centre in Manchester is good- would a season ticket for there be an option? How would she be with skittle bricks, or the wooden construction kits where she has to make something with them?

She doesn’t really understand expereance gifts, really wanted some things for her to open as she doesn’t do waiting for things due to her ASD. She will be having a expereance gift for her birthday but it will be a surprise on the day. She has a pass for the local zoo and we are quite far away from legoland (she has been).

If she likes unwrapping do you still do a stocking for her? That would be lots of things to unwrap - you could make them useful [toothbrush, hairbrush] or edible or even a few playmobil add on bits.
A nice girly handbag/purse - some nice ones on Monsoon.
Would she like something to snuggle - jellycat toys are really soft and cuddly - lots of animals to choose from [just thinking that maybe she likes animals as you have a zoo pass]
I think young teenagers are really hard!

She will have a stocking with useful things in but I don’t wrap everything. She usually gets pokemon cards and a few blind bags as she likes collectible things.

I will have a look at the doodle book, she likes to doodle.

This is probably too dexterous/patient, from what you've described, but maybe worth bearing in mind for future years.

There are lovely little model kits you can get, anything from dragons to entire little rooms to making a calendar.

My 13 year old DD (with ASD) loves fluffy blankets to wrap herself in.
She is also very attached to earphones to listen to music.

Her sister has the switch and is getting the Pokemon games for Christmas. Dd2 is more interested in the cards.

She loves cars/supercars and I’m hoping to get her a ride in one for her birthday. She likes car magazines and catalogues so I might get her some car books.

What about a marble run? There are some pretty cool ones for older kids, think some mentioned over on the bargain thread.

Would she be interested in a science set- my dd (probably asd) loves making potions and has really enjoyed a slime making set.

She also loves microscopes so maybe something like this that you could help her with??

She does love marble runs, i was looking at some of the more fancy ones earlier, I might ask her dad to get her one as he won’t have a clue what to buy.

We did last year (never again) 🤣, was hoping for a mess free Christmas. I have got her some bigger scratch arts which she will love and some super car top trumps to go in her stocking.

Funko Pops from her favourite film. Russian dolls. Folders with inserts to put all the paper treasured bits into. Gem stones to start a collection.

You just need to focus on her interests rather than what girls of her age normally like. My dd is autistic and trying to think about what she had - she liked soft jersey so I bought her a soft dress with owls on it, her favourite animal, music books (she's really musical), classical cd's (this was 8 years ago), fluffy things for her room I think (might have been the following year), books. My dd is high functioning but refused things like make up, shaving and even deodorant until 6th form, luckily she was a late developer

stuck same with both my dd’s, no make up, refuse to use deodorant or shave 🤣 my house smells of teenagers.

Her interests change a lot but cars are a main interest and at the moment she’s playing with marbles, she hasn’t touched any tech for 6 months (no iPad etc..). She loves reading car magazines and loves drawing. She’s a whizz at Lego and wants a technics set so I might get her a small set as she already has the bus as main present.

I would get something to do with cars since that is her interest, a remote controll car maybe?

Does she have an Alexa? What about a Hue colour change light bulb to go with it? Or a glitter/lava lamp.

She has Alexa but doesn’t use it.
I think I will get her some more car related things. I have to give her dad a list of what to buy for her too as he never knows what to get her so I might suggest some car items, she has shown interest in the air fix models.
