First Christmas as a single parent

Any other single parents that have any tips or traditions to share. I love Christmas, and with my youngest being 8 now we've not many 'magical' Christmasses left I fear. I would hate for this year to be overshadowed by STBXH and I breaking up.

I’ve been a single mum for 5 years since youngest was 8, to begin with we spent as much time with family and friends as possible as I found it very lonely but now we stay at home and have made new traditions. We buy a board game each year that we can all play in the evening, we stay in pj’s and chill out Christmas Day. Boxing Day we go down to the coast to get some fresh air.
