Christmas books for 12yo

DD gets pyjamas and a Christmas themed book on 24 December.

I cannot remember what I books I bought her the last couple of years 😳 but I still like this tradition.

Any suggestions for Christmas themed books for this kind of age?

Have you done the Matt haig Christmas series?

The Matt Haig ones are good- and I’d give early so they have time to read before Xmas (I can read a novel in one sitting but appreciate in unusual in that way!)

DD was 11 last year and we read Cornelia Funke's When Santa fell on to Earth.

It may be a bit young so it depends on your daughter's style but for Christmas it was exactly the right story.

We did it as an Advent reading, either each day or every other day. You can do it in one day but we like the tradition of spreading it over December.

How Christmassy does it need to be? If not massively, how about:

101 Dalmatians
The Dark is Rising, or
The Children of Green Knowe

Little Women would be lovely.
