So Dh has asked me what I want for Christmas and I have no idea. He's moaning that I'm difficult to buy for (which I guess I am!)

I don't need anything and ideally don't want stuff that will clutter the house. We're also trying our best to be more eco friendly.

I'd love to hear if anyone has any suggestions?

Ideas so far are...
Naked shower gel bars from lush (snow fairy)
Perfume
Pillow spray
Make up / clinique eye cream
Filofax refill
Candles

I've got a nice dressing gown and slippers already. No chocolate as I'm on a diet!
But maybe some clothes, although I would normally buy myself clothes when needed (plus it's adding to "stuff" in the house). 🤷‍♀️

A treat like a spa day or weekend break?

Vouchers for experiences/tickets/days out etc are always a great idea, whether for you as a couple or you to go with a friend/family member (along with the nice few things you have mentioned!) perfect!

Coffee machine.
Ipad.
I would like a soup maker!
Cheese hamper (maybe not on a diet!).
Bamboo toothbrushes.
Bamboo socks.

I agree with voucher/ tickets/ experience and there are so many experiences for all price ranges and ranging from fairly standard to things you’d never normally do - Eg: music concert, theatre show, dinner at a fancy restaurant, spa day, horse riding lesson, getting nails done, formula 1 experience, bungee jump, ballet etc. If you can’t go as a couple due to childcare you take a friend and he babysits.

Vouchers could be a good shout, some sort of massage would be nice!
We also have a comedy club nearby, so maybe tickets to a show.
Bamboo socks added to the list!

Thermos mug
Bamboo bento box
Rubberless hot water bottle (from the hotwaterbottleshop.co.uk)
Canvas/jute tote shopper bag
Fancy coffee/tea
Windowsill herb planter and herb kit

A thermos would be great actually, I work in an office and my tea always goes cold by the time I get around to drinking it!

Also, gardening stuff would be nice as I'm trying to grow my own herbs and hoping to grow some vegetables next year.

A cold frame for the garden? Really useful if you want to start off veg / to grow on cucumbers etc.

My standard answer if I'm asked what I'd like (by someone who knows my tastes) is a music download or a book from a band/author I don't already know.

NotMeNoNo · 06/11/2019 17:55

Earrings etc (small so not cluttering)
ebooks/e-music/vouchers for them
Go to a good craft market together and support small businesses/artists/makers
Voucher to have nails done if you like it
Nice coffee or tea
plant for garden

I remember the Xmas thread that said "if I can't eat it , read it or spend it then don't bother!"

NotMeNoNo · 06/11/2019 17:58

We were on a work conference call a while ago when they said "AOB?" and one guy said, well not the project but it's my wife's birthday next week and I have no idea what to get.

Cashmere jumper was the front runner there.

What about something wildlife friendly for the garden? Bird feeders/bath or hedgehog house.
