Cheese hamper

Looking for recommendations as there are so many options online. I’m thinking of sending DSIL and family a cheese hamper this year rather than individual gifts, as nephews are now all grown up, and it’s getting a bit daft to buy individual gifts when we have no idea what they might like.

Has anyone ever given/received a particularly nice cheese hamper? It’s for a family of 5 so I want it to be relatively substantial if possible.

Thanks!!

Don’t use “ Pong”. I used them several times and I thought all was well until my parents finally admitted the cheese was usually off and inedible when it arrived. They hadn’t wanted to seem ungrateful for the gift!

I'm making my own for my DB.

Local garden centre has all sorts wrapped in wax and also lovely chutneys. A nice wooden board I've had engraved, a cheese knife and also aldi has some small bottles or port.

@Migrant2

Thanks for the heads up- they were one of the companies on my list!

my friend bought from Neals Yard. I think they do postage as well as delivery and collection.

DH got me a cheese hamper from Fortnum & Masons a couple of years ago. An assistant helped him choose the cheeses and other bits and pieces. I’m sure it was expensive but oh my goodness it was AMAZING!

Paxton and Whitfield is wonderful. Highly recommended.

To give a full picture, once I complained they did send another block of cheese, but I’d still rather not have hadseveral spoiled orders.

The Cheese Shed is good. We have been sending and receiving their hampers for years. Great British Cheese and good customer service.

Highly recommend Cheese Shed, I received a couple and also sent a couple. They come beautifully wrapped in a nice cardboard box. You get a cheese menu inside which explains about each of the cheeses.

I've ordered one for my parents in law for this Xmas.
