MacBook for Christmas

We’re buying our DD a MacBook for Christmas.

Does anyone know whether there are likely to be offers in anywhere ahead of Christmas? Tempted to buy now but don’t want to regret it.

Thanks.

It’s a gamble but I bought myself one last year close to Black Friday from Very who were offering reductions.

Macs are rarely discounted, Black Friday is definitely your best bet. Also worth checking cash back sites for retailers that sell them, not technically a discount but helps you recoup some of the cost.

John Lewis tend to price match and when we bought offered a 2 year warranty, more than just the one year with Apple. Worth looking into

Agree with above poster, I'd not expect a discount but buy from John Lewis to get a two year warranty.

If you wait until early Nov to buy, in theory you could make a Black Friday claim if you then see it cheaper over that weekend. Check the 'Never Knowingly Undersold' terms but I think it's 28 days.

Check pcworld sometimes you can trade in a laptop and get a discount. Unfortunately they are rarely discounted but maybe hold off for cyber Monday might get a discount

Another vote for John Lewis as there warranty's are better than elsewhere.

Thank you!

Very have 2017 model reduced atm with I think £120 cash back.may I ask how old your dd is and why you're going for a mac over a regular laptop?just wondering as I am considering a laptop/Mac for ds but not having office is putting me off a Mac.
