Where to buy decorations this week?

Hey there,

So, I'm in London for half term (usually live overseas) and I've managed to buy a Christmas tree and some lights from Argos. Their decorations they had weren't very nice though. Where could I buy some lovely decorations - not too expensive - in London this week?

I have decorations in shipping but god knows when I'm going to see that. Would like to buy some to at least have some nice things on the tree.

Any suggestions for shops in London where you have definitely seen decorations?

Cheers!

They will be expensive but there is no place like Liberty for Christmas decorations in London.

John Lewis usually have nice ones.

I’d probably buy a box or two of basic baubles and add in a few nicer decorations. Gets expensive otherwise. Especially if you already have your own.

John Lewis have Christmas shops open in their stores so you could go to oxford street or Sloane Square

Marks and Spencer’s have decorations in too. As will Selfridges. And Debenhams.

Caramelblonde70 · 20/10/2019 07:22

Selfridges' Christmas department is amazing!

Brilliant! Will go have a look!

I second Liberty, their Christmas department is magical!

Next have decorations in, and not too expensive at all.

For cheaper ones, check out Matalan. There's one on Oxford Street.

So I went to liberty and bought a few. It was gorgeous. I plan on going to Matalan too.

Depending on where you go, the range or B&M

RedToothBrush · 21/10/2019 14:00

Marks and Spencers are the place to go this year imo.

Similar items to elsewhere, but good quality and half the price of John Lewis...

mmgirish · 22/10/2019 16:13

Ok. So I went to Matalan in Oxford st and the only ones they had were huge! M and S ones were gorgeous! I bought loads there and a few London themed ones in primark too.

Also try Wilko, Paperchase & WHSmiths and the pounds shops if you're near any.

mmgirish · 23/10/2019 10:04

I went to wilko on Kensington high street but they didn't have any out at all. I got 2 nice nutcrackers in Poundland though. The m and s ones are the nicest.
