Has anyone seen any nice Christmas stockings in the shops/online? I haven't had a stocking since I was a child, and they were knitted by my Nan, so I know nothing will quite live up to them! But this will be our first Christmas morning at home as a family, DD will be 19 months and we will also have a newborn (due just before Christmas!) so I want to start our own traditions and definitely want to include stockings in that 😊

I like this one www3.next.co.uk/style/st442727#833176

We got stockings from Mamas and Papas for my 6 year olds first Christmas and they're still as beautiful as the day we bought them (one for her and one for my then 7 year old). They're personalised and far too nice to hide away so we put them on the Bannister throughout December as a decoration :o

Etsy and not on the high street often have some nice ones

GinFuzzy · 19/10/2019 15:05

If you want to make them really special keepsakes, I'd have a look on etsy etc. I have two of the same design so I can swap the empty one for a filled one without waking up DS!

Thank you for the lovely suggestions, and @ginfuzzy what a great idea to have two and do a swap!

I'm going to have a good look around, I want them to be special and last their whole childhood ideally!

Matalans monogram stockings this year are gorgeous, lovely quality and only £9! I got one for myself, DH and MIL, kids stockings are more like sacks to be honest [santa]

Agree about having 2 stockings makes it so much easier!

We've been doing this for the last few years & it's much quicker & less stressful!

RachelEllenR · 19/10/2019 16:46

We got personalised ones from great little trading company. Good size and quality (but couldn't justify the cost of doubles even though I know it would be helpful!). My children leave them outside their bedroom door so I don't disturb them filling them up.

BlueEyedFloozy · 19/10/2019 17:53

We leave ours hanging on the stairs, then they get filled and put outside their bedroom door so they don't get disturbed
