Ideas for 6m old?

Has anyone got any ideas for a 6m old?

My DD will be coming up to 6m at Christmas and although she won’t have a clue - I’m trying to think of gifts she can make use of in the months following Christmas. Bonus points for gift ideas I can give to in laws who seem to think my DD is ready for the whole of ELC! Hmm

No ideas but interested in the answers, I will also have a 6mo at Christmas. DH not really planning on getting him anything but everyone else wants ideas (particularly GP's!)

Stacking cups, stacking ring thingy, bath toys. Some natural rubber toys can be used as teething aids and then in the bath when they are older, eg Oli and Carol,Hevea, Lanco (look for the ones without holes).
Balls for them to chase as they start crawling.
Pull along toys also work as you can use now to encourage them to move and they will eventually walk whilst pulling them.

My daughter had an activity table when she was 7 months which was a massive hit. The legs also came off so it could just be used on the floor, but she preferred to stand at it supported by one of us.

DC2 was 6months last Christmas. We bought him some bowls, spoons etc for weaning, some clothes in the next size(s) we bought him a jumperoo from Facebook (sold it a few months later for the price we paid for it) he also received some "that's not my..." books.
As PP said, some toys for "the next stage" are also a good idea.

Bath toys, books, shape shorter, teething toys, clothing

Definitely don't get a v tech crawl and learn ball. We got two for DDs first Christmas and it was so bloody noisy and annoying! Baby didn't even like it!

DS was 5.5m at Christmas. We bought a secondhand jumparoo and a walker. The walker wasn't used much but it was the annoying vtech one where the front comes off and DS liked the singing and touching the buttons.

If you don't already have a jumperoo I'd say that.

DD was 6 months at her first Christmas. We bought Tomy squeaky eggs, Galt pop up wooden men and Manhatten baby beads. A couple of that's not my books.

All the toys were excellent and were used for a long time afterwards!

I think definitely a jumperoo, I will swallow the size of that somewhere Grin

I will no doubt be ordering some of the above during the night feeds. Can’t wait Halo

@christmascrazyalways there is a space saving jumparoo which is good. I actually bought the skiphop one which doesn't bounce but it's a sit in activity centre aka safe place to put the baby whilst I did a wee. It then turns into a little toddler table so good longevity compared to a jumparoo which is redundant once they are walking really.
