Fool proof sugar cookie recipe?!

I’ve always dreamt of fancy decorated Christmas biscuits like you see in the movies!! Can anybody share a fool proof recipe?! Please!!

This one is great. I find I have to practice with the royal icing on parchment paper first, to make sure I have the correct flow. But they’re great and look so good! The first ones won’t, but they’re the baker’s treat
