Unusual flavour pringles

Following for ideas!

So far I’ve got my 11yo DS
Book - Time travelling with a hamster
Small alarm clock
Gaming socks
Magnetic sculpture thing
Book of hand shadows (don’t ask but he’ll like this!)
Hype smellies set - from Boots.

Also getting hair gel, chocolate orange or something similar, poster, beanie hat, nice pen, maybe a novelty ice cube tray and possibly the energy stick pp posted upthread!

EmpressJewel · 08/10/2019 20:26

Drinks bottle
Wallet
Key ring
Lip balm

Barbarara · 09/10/2019 00:30

WellTidy · 09/10/2019 09:27

Space food is a great call!

I have a young 11yo too Barbarara, your suggestions are spot on for my DS. I should have said bath bombs in my OP as I always get them. I will buy quite a few of what you've listed.

Something that my DS likes but may be too young for others is Color My Bath water colour changing tablets. I buy the tub of 300 for 312.99 on amazon. You can get smaller tubs. Ive bought them multiple times and they are excellent value, don't stain at all, and last forever. There are large ones and small ones in there. I would 100% recommend.

Also the crackle bath (quite expensive for what it is though, it does exactly the same in the bath as a packet of sweets crackles would) and the bubble bath that changes colour when you add it to water. All on amazon.

£12.99 not 312.99! (I wouldn't be buying multiple of them if they were!)

Penknife

CoffeeChocolateWine · 09/10/2019 12:11

LOVE the idea of space food! It’s on the list!

Other ideas are juggling balls, torpedo magnets, spud gun, lemon clock and one of those crystal growing trees.

BlueChampagne · 09/10/2019 13:26

calendar
smart phone gloves (the ones with a special mesh patch on the finger), if smart phone enabled
Batteries
Annual (DS1 is 12 and still likes a Beano annual)
Memory stick?

wibdib · 09/10/2019 17:20

Ds2 is 11 and still likes a cuddly sitting on the top of his stocking - I usually get the kinder one that costs a fiver - just hoping they have some new animals as he has had most of them already over the years!

The Beano Christmas/winter special usually goes in (annual is a present under the tree, he also has a subscription so will have the ordinary comic. But for anyone whose dc are not subscribers, the last issue before Xmas is usually a double one and it usually has good freebies in it to have as a comic to roll up in the stocking).

Pants and socks and maybe T-shirt to be worn on the day - no faffing around looking for something clean to wear.

Deboxed choc Orange (don’t want a replay of discovering the uneaten satsuma in a manky bedroom corner in June 🤮 - luckily it had mummified more than decomposed into mush.

Set of drawing pencils from hard to soft as ds needs them for school now.

Sprout/Xmas pud juggling balls

Passthecake30 · 09/10/2019 18:01

Placemarkimg and adding my own

Brush pens
Sketch pad
Charcoal
Air clay
Gloves
Lindt reindeer
Roadblox token if I get stuck!

wibdib · 10/10/2019 13:43

The other thing the dc have liked getting is a new soft fleece throw from Asda - about £6. They last really well and wash well to come up looking like new. Thinking of getting the fortnite/minecraft ones this year - at least they won’t look too Christmassy when they used in June as they do! GrinHmm

Talkallday · 10/10/2019 13:51

Worry doll keyring
Keyring of any sort
Stationary either for school or homework
Sketchpad
Gingerbread man
Scratch art
Small voucher for amazon/iTunes etc.
Pyjamas

CampingItUp · 11/10/2019 06:40

Box of Novelty cereal from the American shelves in Tesco
A bottle of unusual pop

(Actually we used these to bulk out a sack now filled with v small tech gifts)

Poster for bedroom wall

BecomesHelen · 11/10/2019 13:40

Some ideas mine has had over the past couple of years

Monopoly deal
Shin pads
Power bank
Charger cables
Jelly bean roulette
Potato clock
Lego tape
Robo fish
Football magazine
Keyring
Initial 20p coin (great British coin hunt)

He still likes to get a few novelty bits such as polystyrene gliders and fortune telling fish. Think his favourite ever stocking gift was a joke cockroach, that little blighter has made me jump almost every day for the past two years

BecomesHelen · 11/10/2019 13:41

Oh yes and he loves astronaut ice cream too

BlueChampagne · 11/10/2019 15:22

A game like Fluxx (there are lots of variants) might be more suitable than Top Trumps. Our DSs (9 and 12) particularly like Pirate Fluxx.

WhenDoISleep · 11/10/2019 15:26

My older DS is 11 shortly after Christmas and I was stumped about stocking fillers for this year but there are some great ideas on the lists from PPs,

I was in Tiger yesterday and did pick up a couple of bits - a box of giant paper clips and a mini-note book full of different shaped post-its. There were lots of other stationery type bits that could be used as fillers as well.

theboywonteat · 11/10/2019 20:23

Lots of great ideas here.

I just got something for my DS(9) that would also be loved by an 11 year old - a PlayStation controller stress reliever/squashy from B&M for £3

BeaLola · 11/10/2019 23:44

Where do you buy the Space food and astronaut ice cream from please ? And what are Gaming socks ?

Mine would definitely like Lynx or Jack Wills smellies
Still loves an electric superhero toothbrush and a soft toy Bear
Chewing gum ( as normally not allowed)
Jazzies
Always I buy a festive tshirt from Next or Primark
Guiness world records book for year
Pj's
Last year using bargains thread got a lovely fleece blanket from Landsend with free monogram for less than £10
Initial hankies
Stationery of all kinds inc fun colour highlighters
Posh hot chocolate
Ties ( to add to his collection )
Proper men's hair brush
Hair gel or wax
Fleece or towelling bathrobe (wants one like DH)
Mentoes

CoffeeChocolateWine · 12/10/2019 01:43

@BeaLola, gaming socks weren’t a great description to be honest! The ones I bought are just novelty socks that say ‘Do not disturb I’m gaming’ on the soles! From amazon.

WellTidy · 12/10/2019 07:48

I got the space food ice cream on amazon. They do a normal one and a Neapolitan one. You can also buy it in the museum shop in the Greenwich observatory.

Also bought a mug.
