I actually thought the choice is more varied than it has been in recent years! We are going to order the duck roulade for sure, and haven't decided on other things yet, but the yule log cake looks good :)

Oh - I got some of the Prosecco in the metallic bottle last year (as an ‘emergency’ office bottle of booze) and it was very nice.

We’ve gone for the Black Forest gateau but not much else grabbed me this year. I think Sainsbury’s have nicer puddings this year.

I can't get half of what I want from Sainsbury's on Christmas Eve, and they all assume you're feeding the 5,000! I'm going to stick to Booths, which was my first plan, which I was then prevaricating over.

I’ve ordered the fillet of beef, the turkey parcel thing and the gammon with crackling. I caved and got the cider cheese thing too. The free wine looks a bit cheap, they used to give cava or Craft sauv blanc, I think I’ll go for the chocs.

I am tempted by the beef wellington this year. We aren't huge fans of turkey, and have had duck and goose the last few years. Has anyone had it before?
