Ok everyone is invited to mine on Xmas eve, bring the kids and a bottle.
3-5 with everyone walking up to mass at five.
The more the merrier!

But what would you all like to eat?

Please help I'm not sure whether to do a big grazing platter or a beef in red wine or just canapés or what......

Also if anyone knows a good punch/Xmas cocktail I would be very grateful.

Oh and I keep inviting people when I've had a glass of wine so not actually sure how many are coming maybe around 20..

We have an open house every year on the Sunday before Christmas,1-5pm. I have used the same foolproof plan for seven years now [santa].

Cheese board, pate, ham joint, breads, fruit platter, crisps, nuts, mini mince pies, shortbread reindeer hearts and a box of posh chocolates.

Cranberry gin fizz cocktails, craft ales and wine.

We normally have between 18 and 30 people.

This is all you need for drinks. Delicious and goes down a bomb.

All of these ideas are great ! Just need some friends to share it with...

Carrot sticks, sticks of red or yellow pepper and breadsticks or tortilla chips with dips (hummus, tzaziki, salsa, sour cream and chive etc).

Bowls of cherry tomatoes

A few lighter things like that alongside your hot things and pastry things would be great.

Ooh I’m so tempted to put the party back on knowing all this. Maybe we can insist kids stay downstairs ...but would be way too full then. I need a house extension ..
