What about a wooden art easel? I got one for my daughter when she was that she and she loved it for many years. One side has a blackboard and the other a whiteboard. The one I got had a holder in too for a roll of paper and storage bins on both sides for holding the paints, brushes, etc.

What kind of stuff is she into? Are there any characters or anything she likes?

Would she like a first camera? I think that’s what we gave our DD when she was four and she loved it.

The My Fairy Garden kits are lovely or maybe one of the Insect Lore butterfly or stick insect kit.

Playmobil, Lego, Sylvanian family playsets? A dolls house? My DD loves the Our Generation dolls and all the clothes and accessories that go with them.

Last year my four year old got an Our Generation doll and I got a few other people to buy outfits/accessories.

Sylvanian families?

Grimm's wooden toys? Not too old at four, our rainbow is played with a lot kids aged 7/6/4.

If she has good concentration, my 4 year old absolutely loves Hama Beads. He will sit for hours doing them.

Lego is also great for that age.

Thankyou for your replies you've given me some great Ideas Grin she's really into my little pony but has collected a lot of the ponies and figure sets over last Christmas and her birthday! I'm shocked she's still so interested in it nearly a year later

My kids started getting into playmobil at that age and they still play with it now at 6 and 8 years old. They do all kinds of play sets from unicorns to pirates.

When my DD was 4 gifts that were a big hit were

Dolls House
Sylvanian families
Disney princess Lego
Dressing up clothes (TK Maxx do some lovely ones)
Luvabella doll
Baby carrier for doll
Wooden art easel

Wavingwhiledrowning · 27/09/2019 19:44

Playmobil all the way. Its really been the most long lasting type of toy in our house. Also small white boards and pencil cases have always been a hit.

The presents which went down well with my dds at that age were:
Lego friends vet set and any of the Disney castles
Playmobil farm
Trampoline
Aquabeads
Medical set made from real items e.g. real bandages, real stethoscope, real plasters, real syringes
Fairy letter writing set
Design a friend doll with clothes from Frilly Lilly
Smiggle pencil case with pop out bits
