I need present ideas for my 5yo dd. She got a bike last year and this year the 2 dds are getting a big garden toy to share but I still want something for her to open. I've banned L.O.L. because of all the plastic it's wrapped in so not the new big house thing.

A doll? That was my favourite present as a young girl. The baby choo choo doll. With extra outfits. Rest of the family got accessory like pushchair for it. Can you get her to write a Christmas list?

ItchySeveredFoot · 25/09/2019 21:47

We have a couple of dolls but I guess just generic ones. Maybe a proper name one with specific accessories. A Christmas list is probably a good idea but I usually have to buy pretty early and I didn't want to psych her up too early.

Ask her in an artful mon Christmasy way. Like
If you could buy the five best toys in the world...
sort of convo.

ItchySeveredFoot · 25/09/2019 21:57

What about Lego? My boys love Lego Smile

ItchySeveredFoot · 25/09/2019 22:25

Lego might me good. We only have duplo so far. Dp just suggested a karaoke machine. She'd love it but would I survive!? Shock

Ohhh I loved my kareoke machine lol! Before my high tec one when I was a teenager and I one that you could record yourself onto tapes. It was a bit like this Games Fisher-Price Classics Tape Recorder, Multicolour www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0722RSJXV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_tl-IDb2XPA3ZR

DamnaThatOnesTaken · 25/09/2019 22:58

Oh I just realised that link is a bad replica but you could try to find something similar!

SquintEastwood · 25/09/2019 23:05

My 5yo got a Vtech Kidi superstar mic last year and it is by far the most played with thing in the house by her and her friends and mine too after a few too many drinks 😂

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 25/09/2019 23:06

My 5 year old likes Sylvanian Families and is desperate for a scruff-a-luv.

Chilledout11 · 25/09/2019 23:11

If you only have duplo go for Lego. It will be a winner. Has she got things like hama bead kits or scratch set type of things (The Works is a great shop for these type of things)

Heartofglass12345 · 26/09/2019 22:28

Definitely a karaoke machine Grin
Asda have a huge box of Lego at the moment on offer. They come with ideas booklets and some are simple they could try themselves, and some more difficult for you to help them with. It's the only thing that keeps my kids entertained for ages lol. That and crafts, but I can only handle the mess in short bursts lol

WeeM · 26/09/2019 22:31

Telescope? You can get some starter kids ones pretty cheaply.
Style head?
