Visiting FC London 7th Dec

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help.

We live ooop north and visited FC at Hamleys in the Trafford Centre last year, it was really good, worth the money and totally convinced my wavering 7year old that her fears were unfounded. I realise that she is in juniors this year and I might not have that luxury, but I still wanted a convincing and worth while visit. So I decided we would go to stay with friends in Buckinghamshire and go to Hamleys London. I tried to book the slot at 6am the morning after they went on sale at midnight and all the slots are booked up. I can't change the day, we have booked Kew Gardens that night and Harry Potter tour the next day. Please, does anyone have any ideas for a really good FC we could visit that isn't already booked up?

Thank you!

Oh you needed to be on at midnight! Have you time for an afternoon at Lapland UK? It's brilliant but maybe sold out now too

The Lakeside one has availability .
I know it isn't London Hamleys (which is a gorgeous building) but it might be easier for the DC as its all uncover , places to eat ,toilets and you can drive to Lakeside .

Selfridges normally make a big thing of FC and their Christmas window display is usually amazing:

Mind you Selfridges is so brand-dominant these days that I am slightly worried he will promise your 7 year old that she can have a Gucci handbag Shock

I think they stopped doing Father Xmas at selfridges years ago.
Erm Leicester Square have one, and winter wonderland but that’s a whole thing in itself. Westfields also do it.
Also, look at any garden centres near where you are staying. They are often better than the central London ones.

Oh and have a look if there any steam engine ones near that way. I think there is.

I checked the website before posting Imustbemad00 and it looks as if they do have a ‘roaming’ one rather than a traditional grotto - plus a glittery dancing display. Maybe not as good as the traditional format but at least no booking is required.

Harrods do one!

No chance of Harrods!

I think your daughter has probably reached the age of not believing in Santa. Hope you enjoy your trip though, Kew Gardens is amazing.
