Black Friday

Hoping some of you wise MNers can help.

DSs want a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. Is it the sort of thing that might appear in Black Friday sales? If so - how does it work? Is Black Friday just a normal sale? Or do you need to be signed up to alerts etc?

Thanks!

Black Friday used to be a single day, then it stretched out to include the weekend and “cyber Monday”, and last year some retailers had pre Black Friday sales to try and get ahead.

It’s definitely worth signing up to alerts and mailing lists for the stores you are interested in , and also following the bargain thread here.

Ime you won’t get much reduction in a console price unless they are bringing out a newer model. I think they are launching a newer switch that is purely handheld/ or they have already???? I’m sure someone who knows will be along soon Confused

There are often good bundle deals where you get the console with a game or two at a reduced cost which can be a good bargain if you were planning to buy that game. Hth

The only Black Friday deals on the Nintendo so far have been free games with the switch but as they are now bringing out the handheld there might be some better deals this year on the docked one. I would check game and Nintendo uk shop nearer the time. Worth waiting to see before you buy though as even a free game is good as they are £50 each pretty much.
