What happened to Argos 3 for 2?

Is it not happening at all this year?

I heard they had done away with it. There was so many posts on bargain sites on Facebook about it. Apparently rather than the 3 for 2 they were doing more sales.

Their 3 for 2 was a bit of a con. They'd have stuff on sale the week before, bump the price back up and then do 3 for 2.

It was never the great deal it was made out to be. But it was handy when Amazon dropped its prices by 1/3 to match.

I bought a duplo set last year from argos reduced to £24. Couple of weeks later it was back up to £40 ready for the 3 for 2. Rip off.
