This year, my six year old has asked for a real Wish Wand that grants real wishes. I've had to explain why she won't be getting that (she has now asked for an explorers/Paleontologist kit instead which we will manage).

Her 8yo sister asked for cheese, which is at least real...

I feel you!

We recently flew long haul and my 2.5yr old asked for an airbus a380 for her birthday. Specifically the double decker one like a bus, not a single decker.

And when we were sitting on the plane and everyone else was getting on loudly asked 'why are all these people on my plane'. Mortifying.

Oh and it's never too early to get them hooked on cheese!

My 6 yr old ds has asked for a REAL spiderman suit, one where he can climb walls and swing in the air from web, I’ve told him only the real Spiderman can have one of those but he’s insistent that Father Christmas will definitely be able to get him one!!

Ds(3) wants a pet dolphin. A real dolphin. I've explain that we really don't have the space for a dolphin. He told me it could live in the bath. 🤷‍♀️

I would quite like a pet dolphin too!
In previous years I've been asked for 'toy numbers', a yoyo, and a siren.

@duckling84 when DD1 was little she wanted a pet crocodile, she emphasised it had to be a real one, not a toy! Anyway, she also suggested it could live in the bath. She didn’t get a crocodile of any description, and funnily enough didn’t even mention it Grin

Last year my Gdd (then 3) asked Father Christmas for 'a real baby, boy or girl.' . Letter was dictated to SiL.

Still, fingers Xed she'll be getting one shortly after this Christmas- baby no. 3 due early Jan.

When dd was 3 she asked for a 'real life rocket' so she could go and see nana in the sky 😭😭

I think that's been her only impossible one, apart from a horse that could live in the shed 🤔

When young my ds asked for a live pet squirrel and the «magical power to fly».

Father Christmas kindly left a letter by the fireplace explaining he had brought a pet squirrel but ds had to promise to let it live in the wood opposite our house where Father Christmas had it and that FC wrote that he had asked the squirrel to occasionally climb on the bird table to say hello to ds :)

Ds rushed to the window and by chance there was a squirrel leaping around outside :)

He also told ds that the elves had but a ban on magic powers after a boy last year made his whole family disappear in a puff of smoke :)

Ds is now a teen but I still have that letter :)

Love it, MrsWilkinson!

Wish we'd thought of similar when Gdd asked for a real baby. I think we explained that FC wasn't allowed to bring animals or babies in case the people didn't look after them properly.

I should be grateful that all my 4 year old wants a “big chocolate Santa”, so I’m tempted to buy a 1kg one from Lindt! Done haha

AsahiGo · 09/09/2019 15:06

Now nine year old wanted a guinea pig for the last six years (she got one this July).
Eight year old wanted a 'Halloween Barbie that can stomp on other Barbie's like a titan'.
Other requests:
A lock
'Real' glasses
To go to Texas to be a cowboy
Fake poo...
