Christmas Pyjamas

When, roughly, do the big shops release their Christmas pyjamas? I feel like by the time I look (which isn't late!) loads of shops have limited stock. I'm thinking ideally JL, Mothercare, maybe Jojo Maman or similar. Would be happy to pay less but would like good quality and am also looking for matching ones for a 6 month old and a 2 1/2 year old.

not somewhere you mentioned but the sainsburys ones are good quality and are being released sometime in september x

Muddlingalongalone · 02/09/2019 17:18

No idea on release but we had fab asda ones last year

Milliways · 02/09/2019 17:32

You can get matching sets for the whole family now at Patpat.com.

Got ours from asda last year around end of October/beginning of November, quality was fine. They had mummy clause daddy clause sister/brother/auntie/uncle etc in one range then a few other ranges. Kids pj's were around £6 each and adults around £10ish I think they're still wearing them now so have lasted.

Onlythelonelywelcome · 02/09/2019 17:35

I would agree with asda. Got them last year they were great quality.

I bought some from Sainsbury for DD last year (more winter than Christmas though)

Primark used to do some Christmas PJs (the tartan flannel ones were lovely ) but haven't seen many in the past couple of years .

I think Matalan do a matching set for Parents and DC Xmas Grin

WellTidy · 02/09/2019 18:40

Little white company does fabulous pyjamas, including Christmas ones. You will get matching from there. There is always a discount code knocking round. If you email them, they may give you the release date or join their mailing list.

Fantababy · 02/09/2019 19:55

Thanks for that. I love Sainsbury's but found our last Asda ones very cute but a little plasticky. I'd rather pay less, though obv, so maybe need to get over the idea that John Lewis pyjamas are automatically the best. Blush

As soon as the Halloween stock is cleared.

lotusbell · 02/09/2019 21:14

Got my DS12 and his little brother matching sprout pjs from Next last year - very cute but not cheap considering little one might not fit in them this year!

WarmthAndDepth · 02/09/2019 21:26

You can try picking some up second hand on eBay, or making a request on a local FB buying and selling group. It's the kind of thing people sell on, having had very little wear. My DC went through a couple of years thinking that Xmas PJs were the ratherest thing, and we were able to pick up some virtually unworn ones on eBay (one good thing about novelty clothing, I guess...). Kinder on the environment than buying new.

tomthomas · 02/09/2019 21:27

I work at Asda, we had a small selection of childrens Christmas pjs delivered today! The bounded kind that are wrapped with ribbon, I noticed some really lovely tartan button up ones, it's up to each individual stores when to put them out/ if they have the space for now, I imagine they'll be online soon, usually when we get new stock on a Monday it's live online before the weekend.

WellTidy · 02/09/2019 21:29

Boots is another option for you

IamChipmunk · 02/09/2019 21:40

I normally get Next ones for ds and dd 3 &5 . Also mothercare ones are nice. Im hoping last years will still fit as they were both roomy!

Fantababy · 02/09/2019 22:06

Tartan button down ones sound great. Will need to keep an eye out.

I usually shop at asda for Christmas pyjamas. I think they're released october/novemver time.

Charliemustard · 03/09/2019 14:27

M&S ones are lovely and soft and usually out quite early. You can also pick up lots of bargains in their January sales Smile

user1573624 · 06/09/2019 22:27

Definitely buy in September/October. I desperately wanted matching or coordinating tartan or traditional pyjamas for mine last year and looked absolutely everywhere with no luck. The few places that had them were sold out by November. From memory I think it was only Sainsbury's and Boden that had them last year. Boden and Frugi always have there's hugely on sale a few days before Christmas and offer next day delivery, so that's always a back up option, but it's limited choice then.

For this year I got Christmas PJ's from Gap very cheaply in January, not matching but I didn't want the Christmas PJ stress I always have a few days before Blush.

Fantababy · 06/09/2019 22:56

I was so tempted to get some in the January sales this year but DD2 wasn't born yet so I didn't want to tempt fate. Sales all the way from now on. I see Asda have some online now.

Family sets are great until the kids grow out of them and the parents are stuck with five years worth of Xmas pyjamas that they end up wearing all year round.
