One very cheap idea for a DIY Advent calendar is one with a joke in for each day. I tried it after a lego one we had which was a fiasco. I was surprised how much the kids liked it. They really looked forward to reading out the jokes to each other at breakfast time. Sounds unlikely but it was mega successful. We had cheap chocolate ones as well.

@Zillaindie keep your eye on groupon for a wooden work bench with tools. Got DS one last year for £19 and then a toy carpenters case for about the same. It’s been brilliant.

DS was about 20m when his turned up, he’s nearly 3 and the height of a 5 year old so he’ll get plenty more play out of it yet. Quite a long lasting toy.
He wants a drill and a chainsaw from Father Christmas to use on his workbench!
A family member got him the John Deere drilling tractor at the same time and that’s always on the bench being fixed, would highly recommend it!

Has anyone seen any Peppa Pig Christmas gift wrap?

And does anyone have any advice re where I can find designer t-shirts for nephews (adult size small) - I think favourite brands are Hugo Boss and Calvin Klein but they like the ones where the brand name is huge across the chest! So far I've found a couple on ASOS but something bargainous would be greatly appreciated!

If anyone comes across this Lego year by year Book at a more bargainous price I’d be very grateful. It has to be this exact one, and new if at all possible. I passed it up at £5 last year, and at £17 a few months back and I could kick myself.

The more years I spend on these threads the more painful it becomes to spend full price on anything, ever
