Help I’ve burnt the turkey!

I’m not feeling very well today and popped the turkey in the oven at 7 and basically forgot about it while I let me DH do the rest of the prep. I’ve taken it out and it looks very over done. Have carved but very dry. DH helpfully said least no one will get food poising!!! Is there anything I can do to disguise the fact it’s so overdone.

Lots of gravy.

Lots of gravy and lots of trimmings so you only need to serve a small bit of turkey. I forgot to buy pigs in blankets!

Get a baking tray and slice the meat. Place in the tray and cover it with chicken stock. It will soak up all the juices. If you have not got stock used watered down gravy.

Call it carmalised turkey and its the new trend that all the celebrity chefs are into atm.

This is how chefs moisten the turkey when serving large banquets

Lovemusic33 · 25/12/2018 12:48

Yes, do as pud suggests, ex chef here and that’s how most chefs keep their turkey moist (as its kept warm). It will be fine x

Gravy is your friend! Don't stress, I'm sure there is plenty of other things to eat if it is a bit dry 😊
