What are you up to on Christmas Eve?

DH is working so trying to think of ways to make it still feel special! I think we will bake some biscuits that we can give to neighbours and maybe watch a Christmas film and then I think we might be going to a friends house for some party food but DH has confirmed that yet!

Interested to hear how others spend Christmas Eve....

Aiming for a cafe breakfast and the back home to put together the lasagne for dinner.

Panto with DH, DS and my parents at 11, then back home and dressed for mass at 4pm.

Try and convince DS to have a wash, get in to new pyjamas and have a relatively early night and once he's in bed will do some dinner prep and pop the presents under the tree as well as some stealth sneaking in his room with stockings.

My Christmas Eve has now changed completely. I am assisting at a funeral in the morning so have already prepped the tea ready to stick on first thing.

Gotta work 8-1, DP is home this Xmas eve as opposed to the last 3 years so he is sorting the usual job of honey roast gammon. I will then give the kids thier Xmas eve boxes which contain a gingerbread house each amongst other things, Then it’s Chinese takeaway for dinner, baths, watch tv then send the kids to bed about 9, wait an hour till they are asleep and then set up 😊

I'm probably going to take Ds2 to see the Fenwick Christmas window. It has The Snowman as it's theme, this year and he likes the music.

Sorting out beds ( I have people staying over for Christmas Dinner and overnight). And willing my child to go the fuck to sleep. So far tonight it's been two hours and not anything remotely like dozing off.

DCS are older now so a lot more chilled
will visit dad in care home and take gifts.
take prepped veggies round to mums for Christmas day.

hopefully dd 2 will bring my car back intact in case I need to do any last minute shopping. I noticed tonight we had no crisps, biscuits, nuts or chocolates in the house. but we have tons of food so not really bothered.

DHs birthday tomorrow and he's managed to wangle the day off work. (Yey) He was preciously supposed to be working. So presents and a nice breakfast in the morning. Then we are taking DD to media city to do the snowman trail. Back home then we are going out for a meal and drinks for DHs bday with MIL and her DH

Bellringing. We have two towers in our town so I'll be ringing at both at different times during the day. The first lot starts at 14.30 for the town's Christingle Service and the last lot will be for Midnight Mass.

Then it's off to bed ready for an early start in order to ring at both towers on Christmas morning.

Waiting in for online shop then sending DH out for extras, Christmas film and then early evening mass with carol's to get us in the mood.

10km run first thing, morning in the spa and then a waffle with chocolate sauce for breakfast.

Then taking the dog out for several miles across a local beauty spot before napping infront of an Xmas film.

Finally, nice cocktails and meal out in the evening, calling in on friends/family on our way out to dinner.

Christmas clean in the morning, followed by a friend popping round with a gift for ds. Then a walk into town early afternoon for present tags and a look at the lights etc. Back home for a film, tea, night before Christmas story and bed. Then probably another film for me and dp before playing father Christmas and going to bed.

Took 3 sleeping pills last night am absolutely stoned
