What are your. Christmas day traditions?.
I'm looking for inspiration as its baby's 1st Christmas.

I was thinking of something crafty that we can keep to show when DC is older?

Every year we buy each of our kids a new decoration of their own, the idea being when they grow up and move out they'll have their own box of sentimental decorations to take with them.

I think ours is pretty standard but do a special Xmas eve.

Xmas eve-
Baking and making with the kids
Xmas eve boxes
Xmas stories

Xmas day-
Stockings
Presents
Brunch
More presents
Xmas dinner
Family film
Kids tea
Bed
Cook gammon or ham for Boxing Day
Pass out/ sleep

When my children were young they always had an early bath on Christmas Eve, new PJ's on, put out the food for Father Christmas by the fire and I took a photo. I still have every one of these photos with them sitting in the same place with their stocking hanging behind them

Christmas Eve, pub lunch/tea followed by panto, although we used to do panto then pub tea when ds was younger.
Xmas day, ds does his stocking in our room and then we all go down and open presents. Bacon sandwiches and mimosas for breakfast. Leisurely cook lunch while watching rubbish on TV/playing games/drinking. That's about it. We don't leave the house.

Cheesenpickles, that’s a lovely idea!

The men always do the washing up. My DM started this tradition so I am just carrying it on.

Christmas Eve we always bake - cheese cake mince pies sausage rolls egg custards
All goodies added to with bread eggs and cheeses for tea.

I thought this would die out but the kids now invite their friends to help and we have expanded to cookies and chocolate cake and triful!

Christmas Eve night PJs and a film.

We also have new decorations and photos -

We go ice skating and panto - grandma sends money for gifts and this is what we spend it on - because my grandma always took us Christmas Eve.

Do what come naturally

We always had carrots left out for Rudolph ( and the other reindeer). Dd is sadly too old now.
