Essential services working Christmas Day

We're having a low-key Christmas this year with the DCs 6 and 10 and thought it would be nice to take some cakes to the fire stnation, police station and ambulance station for the men and women giving up their Christmas Day.
Any other services that will be manned that we haven't thought about?
There are local homeless hostels but that's more cake than I think we can cope withGrin

The support staff.
For every Dr and Nurse, there's cooks, cleaners, porters etc.

DH is cooking a huge breakfast for his officers this year (going in early to do it). Sure they'd love cakes too; what a kind thought Smile Wonder if I should send in some food for later in their shift too?

Well, much as I would love to bake cakes for everyone in my town, I gotta draw the line somewhereCakeCakeCake

We've done this for many years now with dc and it's lovely. They always write a note to the police officers to say thank you for keeping us safe. I think it's nice to get them thinking of others. We do a big baking session Christmas eve then off they go to take their creations. They do seems to have minimal staff on and usually most officers are out working so don't tent to see many people but I like to think they are appreciated.

Vets? If you have a small animal hospital vets and nurses will be in all day and night.

The life boat crew are always amazing people in my eyes especially with the adverse weather at this time of year and all voluntary - I realise not everyone has a local station x

Something like the district nurses if you know where their office is?

Mountain Rescue?
They are volunteers IIRC and will go off and seek out the people who get lost, suffer exposure ,go out unprepared .
They have dogs too...

So maybe cake for them to sustain and dog treats?
