My darling father has just asked me the following :

"A few months ago there was an advert on the TV for a CD which has some women singing in front of an old bomber aircraft. Did you see it and do you know where I can get it for your mum for Christmas?"

I didn't see the advert and have no idea what he is talking about but wondered if any of you wise ladies (and gents) can shed any light?

What kind of music is it? And what channel would it have been on?

senua · 20/12/2018 15:40

The D Day Darlings?

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 20/12/2018 15:41

I would guess it's the D-Day Darlings, they were on Britain's got Talent

DragonMamma I didn't have any of that information! It really was a blind search but I now love the power of Mumsnet Grin. Would never have found it myself.

Dad now planning a trawl of local supermarkets to see if he can find it - my suggestion of 'why don't you ring first and see if its in stock' was met with a 'Hmmm might do that'!!! Smile

Sorry! Looks like I was typing when you answered and didn't see you had already said D-Day Darlings. I'm sure you weren't deliberately ignored 🙄

Please please pleeaase accept my apology?
I'll let you off, seeing as you gave me flowers.

Your DDad should be able to find the CD. According to the BBC it's No 35 in the charts.

Hope you all have a good Christmas.Xmas Grin

Thanks senua - he picked it up from a nearby Sainsburys last night. Thankfully listened to my suggestion that he rang to check it was in stock as the first store he tried didn't have any !!

Have a wonderful Christmas Grin
