Fortnite Toys

[22Giraffes]

So mumsnetters I have been very foolish, point and laugh if you wish! When the fortnite toys were released at the beginning of the month my kids weren't bothered. Fast forward to now and dd has said she would really like the 4 pack of figures. She is at a tricky age where she doesn't really play with toys any more but she's too young to want the expensive stuff that teens tend to like. She has not asked for much and will be very understanding if I'm unable to get them but this just makes me want to get them for her even more!

I have checked all the usual shops and seems my only options are Smyths in Chester or Entertainer in Horsham. I am in London If anyone knows of a shop I haven't considered by some miracle then please point me in the right direction!

Thanks, I did see a pack on a market type stall but the were so obviously fake, I'm not a snob at all but i would worry about the quality of paint used (can be dangerous with fake toys) and whether they'd just fall apart straight away!

Do you have a smyths toys near? Our local smyths sells them but there out of stock. However they do say in stock from 22/24th December (& I've looked at 4 or 5 other random stores & they say the same). So if you've got one local, check the stock availability & if it says something similar, give them a ring & check if they're getting any & maybe see if they can keep hold of one for you.

Ooh thanks yes I do have a local-ish Smyths, my branch also says 22nd-24th so with any luck and a bit of pro-active legwork I might just get them before Christmas

I feel your pain OP. Our local ASDA had them in, (I was there at 8am on release day ). Have you checked your local store?

Tesco had them when I went in last week.

Yes checked Amazon, currently only for sale from 3rd party sellers for silly money! I don't have a local Asda so it's quite a journey to make on the hope they have some, same with Tesco.

@useruseruser I set up a stock alert earlier and enabled the audio alarm, cut to 5 mins ago and DH freaking out because something is blaring at him from the computer! Luckiky we were quick enough and managed to grab them from Amazon for the proper price, they've gone back out of stock now!

Ahh I’m so pleased you have them! I’d finished shopping until those bloody toys came out, but I know my son will love them.

My local Asda and Tesco both have some figures, but not the full set. You can phone the store and asking they have stock before travelling.

(I've had to buy them all separately the four pack is hard to get!).

Glad you managed to get them the alarm is definitely alarming!
