Christmas cocktails - what are you having?

I'm in charge of the Christmas cocktail this year - yay! I'm looking for inspiration. It can't be heavy on the gin as we've had gin based cocktails for the last few years and the family want a change.

I hear rum is the new gin - any ideas? No daiquiris as I had a bad experience with those in my youth and can never face another one again...

martinis are definitely the new G&T. Been to three parties recently where they were the main offering.

If you are near a Booths supermarket, they sell a mulled rum which is lovely and warming. The mulled gin is even better in my opinion and not too gin-ish

oooh Ada you made me laugh, creme de menthe frappé ...couple of years back my mother decided that was the one thing she needed for her indigestion

She had one every night for a week!

French martinis are rather nice, vodka, chambord (I use aldi creme de cassis, similar idea) and pineapple juice, shaken with ice. Very moreish!
