Book about farming??

I fancy getting my sister a book about life on a small holding or farm as she’s now working part time at a farm and adores it but doesn’t know much. Any ideas for an easy read? Can be celebrity or anything please

Without hesitation I must recommend The Yorkshire Shepherdess by Amanda Owen. Amanda is not from a farming background, and the book details how she got into farming, how she ended up at Ravenseat (very remote hill farm) with her now husband Clive, and how she went on to have many children, all based around the ebb and flow of farming in a tough climate as the seasons change.
Her writing style is very readable and compelling. Easy to pick up and get in to.

There are better written ones (The Farm by Richard Benson, or the Herdy shepherd stuff by James Rebanks), and I have really enjoyed the one about Hannah Hauxwell, but from what you say I think Yorkshire Shepherdess would hit the spot.
