For me it's for the dc's. We have booked a break to Centre Parcs in Feb half term. We have been as day guests and they loved it but never been and stayed. We have had a difficult 3 months with a bereavement and bullying and some general down times so I can't wait to have a break away and I know they will love it.

Everything I ve got the kids, we have had a horrific year, financially, emotionally its just been hideous.I ve nearly broken down and completely lost it so many times it really has been awful. I look back and I have absolutely no idea how I ve made it to here!! I ve managed to get the kids everything on their lists including their big presents which I know they are not expecting as they know how tight things have been.

Also we are going away for New Year, I told them I didn't think we could as I didn't want them disappointed. We had to cancel a dream holiday we d been planning for over a year this year and I couldn't bear to disappoint them again!!!

All in all I m.looking forward to burying 2018 and forgetting it ever happened but I m so thankful I ve managed to pull this off!!!

For my mum and my 2 uncles. DP has written my grandads history/Ww2 stories using tapes he recorded years ago which we found when we cleared out his house when my grandmother died. We are having it printed and the proof came today. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into the writing. I showed it to my dad this evening after extracting a promise to keep it secret and he got all teary eyed.

A boring kids one, but true nonetheless: I asked my dad to get my 2.5 year old a wooden train set. He is train mad and will go crazy for this. I can't wait to see him open it.

Also, as we have a shit tonne of the Thomas Trackmaster sets and battery powered trains I'm looking forward to not having to replace batteries every 20 minutes.

A fine art print for my best friend and her DH. She has been an amazing support over the last couple of years and has passed on huge amounts of her maternity clothing and her DCs clothing. She lent me a dress to wear to a posh do while I was pregnant and while I was trying things on in her bedroom noticed the lovely print on their wall, took a sneaky photo, searched for the artist and bought a mounted print then had it framed in as similar way as possible so it co-ordinates. I really hope she likes it!

I just can't wait to see my three year old, rush downstairs the stairs on Christmas morning, and see all his presents under the tree. The look on his little face, is the best gift to me in the world ❤ I thought me being so organised this year, having everything already wrapped, would mean I would be able to chill out..but this waiting game now until Christmas morning is killing me 😂

Dd2 has blu tac in her stocking, it will probably be her favourite gift, she has ASD and spends most of the day at school pinching blu tac from school displays. Also a scientific calculator, she has one she has borrowed from school and carries it around everywhere with her. She does have bigger gifts too, mainly Lego but she has chosen these so no surprises.

Dd1 has a rainbow blanket, she’s into the LGBT scene and asked me to make her a rainbow blanket.

@EsmesRedPetticoat that is an amazing present! 😍

A metal detector for my husband. He watched Detectorists for the first time this summer and twice since. He hasn’t asked for one but hoping he loves it. After lots of research I now know more about them than I care to admit and once I got over the shock of how much a half decent one is it arrived yesterday. Hope he finds some gold!

@watcherofthenight I have also bought a driving experience for my neice. She's going through a hard transition into comprehensive and think it could be a confidence booster for her 🤞🏻
