I get this feeling every year. I have wrapped the kids stuff last night they have.

DS3
remote control car
play food
toy washing machine
Toy kids guitar
bing dvd
large family book set
large magnet drawing board
jelly baff
play doh
toy cars

DD1
dolly
dolls bed
magnetic draw board
jingle bell
xylophone
toy flute
harmonica
play tunnel
crackle baff

Everyyear I go and buy more shite to bulk it out they havent got any big presents this year as my eldest hasnt asked for anything like that last year he asked for a bike and a kitchen this year its a toy wash machine and guitar. Although he did ask for a tablet but at 3 he can sod right off ive told him santa doesnt do electricals Blush and he was ok with that.

They each have new pjs for Christmas Eve and a Christmas jumper for Christmas day. They will have a stocking filled with an orange, chocolate coins, light up balloons, socks, small book and colours.

Stop me from buying more shite pleaseeeee is it enough?

It’s plenty - a lovely pile of presents. One year I went mad buying so much stuff and my youngest who was two got overwhelmed by having to open more and more presents and got cross because she just wanted to play.

ToesInWater · 13/12/2018 08:21

That really is enough 😊 You have sorted Christmas, relax and enjoy.

Sounds fine. My dd3 has 7 presents from us plus 4 very small things in her stocking. What's the point of buying loads and bulking it out? Will they really play with it all?

Santababyclaus · 13/12/2018 08:30

Oh and stay away from Tiger/£ shops Grin

Isadora2007 · 13/12/2018 08:33

It is enough. And if you buy the crap the chances are you will overwhelmed them anyway and regret it when you’re throwing that out in a months time.
Honestly- go to the *Mary’s Meals website and see how pitifully low the price of a meal each day for a whole YEAR for a child is. Use the extra money you’d spend buying crap for your own lucky children to make an unlucky child or two have a basic quality of life for a whole year.

*other charities are available and valuable- buying mosquito nets can save lives. Or vaccines for babies etc. For like £15-25 you can actually save lives. Amazing.

That’s loads!

Harleyisme · 13/12/2018 08:35

I think thats more than enough.
Mine have 7 presents each plus younger 2 have 2 biggish presents a dolls house and a 7 in 1 play table and biggest has a ferrari play wheel for his xbox. I have pleades with everyone else not to go over board like they do every year my dcs don't need it. I would rather them buy them one present and put what ever else they money they wanted to spend into the dcs bank account.
