Hi all

I've been tasked with contributing the cheeseboard to Christmas day with the inlaws. MIL in particular is quite 'proper' (nothing wrong with that of course but she's already questioning what type of 'board' i'll be presenting it on) and so I am keen to get this cheeseboard correct!!

Please hit me with all of your vital cheese and cracker types for your ultimate cheeseboard Grin

Many thanks!

Cheese. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Black Bomber.
Harlech or y fenni.
Shropshire blue.
A brie.

Crackers - tesco own brand rosemary crackers are amazingly good.

Brie (de meaux), Stilton, extra mature cheddar, roule, sticky toffee cheese (Cheshire cheese company - divine!!), amber mist cheddar (snowdonia cheese company mature cheddar with whisky) or Cheshire cheese company whisky and ginger.

Biscuits - oatcakes, butter puffs, some posh artisan ones. Grapes, apples and nice chutney.
I love cheese!!!!

Don't bring too many!

A good, not stinky, Brie or Camembert
A smoked
A blue
A strong cheddar
A novelty one

Oh and grapes, two chutneys, two types of cracker, maybe walnuts.

Rosemary crackers form Lidl are amazing...

thank you ladies!!! Excellent pointers for a clueless cheese lover who is happy with lots of cheddar grin]

funnily enough she's already keenly mentioned the lidl rosemary crackers! the tesco ones are yummy as well.

I feel well equipped now to stun them all with my amazing cheeseboard

Take a look at Pinterest for some ways of displaying it, then you can truly wow them!

This is always a massively popular one when I do a cheese board www.teddingtoncheese.co.uk/acatalog/Wigmore-WIGMORE.html#SID=3. My favourite crackers are Fortts Bath Oliver biscuits.

Piebeansandchips · 12/12/2018 23:42

I've just been introduced to truffle Brie. No idea where it was from but it was a-maz-ing.

Piebeansandchips · 12/12/2018 23:44

These biscuits are great too
