Stuck for ideas for DS2....

He has a big brother and sister, so we already have lots of stuff. He has a bike, scooter, tablet, loads of pens. etc already and I am stuck for ideas for his main present...

What would you buy?

I have a traditional game for him, a pop figure and a boxing bag thing (on a stand) with gloves. That was really cheap though and I just cannot think if anything else!

Any ideas gratefully received! Thanks in advance!

I always resort to Lego and if you look on amazon they have some great kits on there.

Isitme13 · 12/12/2018 18:42

Mine is lego mad, so that’s always an option for me.

This year my 3 have a Nintendo Switch as a main present to share, then other presents each - this for my ds is a Lego set, some craft sets and a couple of items of clothing he will love but doesn’t really need (an extra hoodie, superhero t shirts, etc).

Don’t buy for the sake of it.

That said.... Lego is always a winner!

K'nex or meccano?
A remote control car or train set?

At that age they care more about wether they've got the same amount of things as sibling rather than what you've spent though.

Remote control car
Scalextric
Hotwheels
Gravitrax
Botley Coding robot
Magformers (we prefer Magtastix)

Telescope. We got ds8 a telescope two years ago. We bought beginner adult one, so he can use it for years and moon looks really cool through it.

Nintendo switch/Xbox 1/PS4?

Notso · 12/12/2018 21:03

My 6 year old has asked for playmobil vets, a Paddington onesie, a jelly pizza, a where's wally book and a cuddly penguin.

He's also getting a shared Nintendo switch, nerf laser tag, nerf nitro cars and Lego bricks.

My 5 yo has asked for
Lego
Playmobil Aquarium
Metal detector
Science kits

We struggled for a main present for him so decided not to get one and get more smaller stuff such as the science kits.
