Small but funny stocking fillers for a teen DS

jocktamsonsbairn · 11/12/2018 22:20

Just that. Sticking this year is dire as he is too old for kiddy stuff but not yet ready for adult gifts - especially not for opening in front of granny!!
He said the other day the best part of Xmas is the funny things in his stocking. I've done most of the fun stuff over the last 16 years, Trump toilet paper, plop trumps etc etc etc. Any ideas? It's to fit in a stocking not a big Santa sack. I already have the obligatory socks, boxers, shower gel/body spray/choc coins and sprouts then his main presents plus clothes/pjs and a wee hamper of all the Percy pig/family/friends variations so no more sweets!!
He loves
his Xbox
Greek mythology
Basketball

Iwantoneofthose.com has good stuff. I can highly recommend the Plug and Play Retro TV Games at £9.99. Massive success in our house.

EarlyModernParent · 11/12/2018 22:39

Also, the Stephen Fry book retelling the Greek myths is getting very good reviews.

SparrowandNightingale · 11/12/2018 22:39

If he likes mythology you could get a copy of eitger Mythos by Stephen Fry or Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. I prefered the norse one but both are good.

Good thread. Really struggling this year, DS’s main present is a hoodie (he asked for it) am I’m really stuck for ideas for him.

His brother has a list as long as his arm!

1hello2hello · 11/12/2018 22:48

A snow globe you insert your own photo in so a funny one or one from when he was in an xmas jumper Wink.

Reallybadidea · 11/12/2018 22:49

I got some fake moustaches for teen DS's advent calendar which went down well. They were from Flying Tiger but I've seen them in Poundland too.

EarlyModernParent · 11/12/2018 22:50

Daft T-shirt? I got DH one with a map of the UK. Yorkshire was marked ‘right’ and everywhere was marked wrong! Try redmolotov.com.

BollockingBaubles · 11/12/2018 22:58

I bought dd a hot potato type game. It's a little ball with electric buts in that goes off every now and than, you have to pass it round and if you get zapped and drop it you're out.

There's also Beanboozled where it's like a roulette game and you have to spin a wheel and eat a bean of that colour but it could be something nice like mint versus something rank like dog shit.

BollockingBaubles · 11/12/2018 22:59

Electric bits.

Sorry for typos it's this stupid fucking phone

MrsChollySawcutt · 12/12/2018 00:43

If he like Exploding Kittens you could get Unstable Unicorns. We have both but prefer the gameplay of UU plus there are lots of expansion packs to add extra types of unicorns and magic cards.

Numberonecook · 12/12/2018 13:32

Xbox remote soap from amazon! I got 16 year old DS this last Xmas and he loved it!

HalfBloodPrincess · 12/12/2018 16:12

Gag gifts I’ve got ds (14)

Wind up spongebob
Poop slime
Spud gun
‘Grow your own girlfriend’
Angry birds mash’ems (he was obsessed with them as a child so did for nostalgic reasons)
Pinkie pie pop vinyl (see above)
An ‘up yours’ lolly (£ shop)
Washing up liquid/scourer/gloves (it’s his turn to wash up this year😂)
Pokemon cards

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 12/12/2018 16:18

I got DS zombie shower gel last year and those sound machines always go down very well in the stocking?

Almondio · 12/12/2018 16:20

B and M bargains have some bits like toilet rolls with jokes printed on and little American sweet/candy selections.
