Shes changed her list!

My DD 9yrs has been asking questions about whether Father Christmas is real but I think I've managed to keep her believing this year. So I am very keen for Father Christmas to do well for what is probably the last year she will believe.
She wrote a draft Christmas letter, managed to get as near as I could to what she has asked for (hannah montana dolls and tat) but now she says that she has changed her mind! Shes asked for a teddy or doll that can talk to her and a Victorious Doll (has Ariana Grande in)..I need to do this as cheaply as possible as my partner might actually kill me as I have said we have finished several times. I have her every other year as we alternate with her Dad so I just want to make it as nice as I can for her! Any suggestions are very welcome! Thank you

If you’ve spent your budget tell her the elves have already wrapped presents and loaded the sleigh?
How long until her birthday?

"You can't change your list two weeks before Christmas" is what I've said to my 5 year old when he's suggested adding things.

Why didn't I think of this at the time?! I'm not good at this! Thank you, I will try this!

My DC usually give me a list 2 weeks before Christmas when I've already bought things they've shown an interest in months before, they don't often match. I tell them that the list is a guide and Santa can't bring everything on it. I'm lucky I can adjust things a bit as their birthdays are in Jan and Feb.

I'm too soft and I'd just buy what she wanted - providing you can afford it of course! Slightly different if she's suddenly requesting iPads and Nintendo switches but for a teddy etc then why not?

True Batpie, i think she wants a full conversation with it! I will have a look around.

Do they still sell Hannah Montana dolls??

Angelinthenight · 11/12/2018 14:11

My boys did the same so i said santa may just bring 1 thing on your santa letter and the rest he will choose what he gives to u as he likes kids to have a surprise

Bestbefore yes but you have to search like crazy for them, she's loved Hannah Montana for 2 years thanks to Disneylife. The dolls cost a fortune now.
Angel..i was thinking of getting her to ask him for a surprise as he brings great surprises etc!
I've gone overboard again this year, it never looks much around the tree when you have 1 child and my partner and I don't buy for each other so it always looks bare! So I always end up buying more to make it look more exciting.
