I need to buy a coeliac a box of chocolates, can anyone recommend any nice gluten free ones please?

I forgot they needed to be gluten free and bought Lindt master chocolatier collection - anyone know of these are gluten free? If so job done, if not I've got a nice box of chocs to enjoy to myself!

Just look on the ingredients list. All allergens are in bold. Wheat and barley would be a problem

Thanks @OhWifey - the ones I've got aren't gf so that's nice for me!

Any recommendations for some nice gf chocolates?

As the daughter of a coeliac - you will have to go and look. Mixed boxes of chocolate usually have gluten in as there are lots of varieties, some flavours of Green & Blacks are OK but other not. Galaxy chocolate is OK in bar form but not when you a buy an Easter egg as the ingredients are different. You will have to go and look at the labels I'm afraid - there's not a huge amount - it's not easy!

A lot of Hotel Chocolat and Thorntons are gluten free. Their websites should allow you to filter on non-gluten containing products.
Coeliac UK accredit these companies as being safe for coeliac as long as you choose a product that does not contain gluten (e.g. the non-gluten products do not have a contamination risk).

Coeliac U.K. usually publish a list of all safe Christmas chocolates. But if I google it I can only find the 2017 list. But this will give you a steer of what to look for, then you can double check the ingredient list when buying.

@JoeyBrummie thanks that's really helpful, think I've found some Thornton's ones that fit the bill. I've attached a screenshot of the ingredients list, would these be ok as far as you can see?

That list you've posted is gluten-free, OP. I'm gluten-free and I've just scoffed a box of Thornton's, they def do some selections that work, and that's one you've got there!

Thank you @onalongsabbatical and everyone else, you've solved my conundrum!
