NC as my sister is on here somewhere.

I have no idea what to get my sister, as always her gift I am leaving untill last minute as it wrecks my head. She never ever asks any family member including me what we want or need for Xmas yet she hits the nail on the head perfectly EVERY SINGLE TIME she is a great gift giver.....me I'm terrible.
I can't give to many details as I'll out myself,
She is a fantastic cook and baker I'm not buying her a cook book, want something more original,
She loves her dog, running however hasn't done so in a while due to injury, isn't overly girly but not a tom boy, isn't artsy or crafty to be honest I can't say much more because if she sees this she will know it is me. I'm sick of buying her generic smellies every or candles or the usual stuff. She has been awesome helping me over the years so it really love to get her something different

She also doesn't drink and a vegetarian (she doesn't like meat) and thinking of becoming vegan, She likes animals more than humans, gift will need to be something that is animal friendly

nice photo frame with a pic of the two of you in it, could be a recent one or one from back when you were children

Stompythedinosaur · 10/12/2018 10:16

What's your budget? How about tickets to something for the two of you?

DreadfulSister · 10/12/2018 13:54

I love the photo frame idea but she did that for me on my birthday, so I don't want to be seen as copying if that makes sense.

I dont really have a budget. She helps me out a lot with the kids and is always so thoughful is always picking things up like toilet rolls on bogofs for example, always buys the kids little things, i couldnt spoil her on her 30th so id really like to spoil her this christmas fo shoe my appreciation now my finances are in order. She is going to new York next year so tickets to a show would be awesome I think, I'll have to contact the person she is going with to discuss their timetable. Which is no bother.

How about a cooking experience day - somewhere like the Jamie Oliver Cookery School?

Frosty66611 · 10/12/2018 14:00

I made a 2019 calendar for my sister on photobox with photos of me and her.

Other things I’ve got for her in the past are:
A voucher for a massage
A Thai cookery class
Cinema yearly membership

there are hotels around the UK that cater for people and their dogs. Theres one near me in Hampshire called the four seasons (link below). Maybe a weekend away with her dog where she can go for walks/runs in the country. Maybe include a gift voucher for a local vegan restaurant if her birthday is soon?

@sockunicorn I think you hit the nail on the head she hates leaving her dog and her dog is her baby! When she goes on holiday she cries leaving her dog and phones the kennel everyday she can't wait to get home to her baby she says....So thays what I'll get her deffo. A couple of nights in a dog friendly place she will love that!!

aww fab! you could make her AND the dog gift voucher "tickets" inviting them to their weekend Grin.

DreadfulSister · 10/12/2018 14:29

It's the perfect gift for her it really is ! She works really hard and her dog is her life i want to book somethi g for me and my kids also so I'll book her a spot and we can all go together exploring woth the dog. These kids live nothing more than getting filthy with her pooch and running around with him

Get her a ticket to the top of the statue of liberty- not expensive but hard to get, you have to log on as soon as they are released. When is she going?

GreenKangaroo · 10/12/2018 14:39

Crown tickets are selling through to may 2019. You have to climb a lot of steps but it it awesome. I have a very dodgy knee and managed it

GreenKangaroo · 10/12/2018 14:41

I don't know where you live but my children (adults) took our dog here and loved it
