Family game ideas with 5 year old

Looking for a board game or other type of games for the whole family to play at Xmas - me, dh, ds5, aunties, uncles and grandparents.

Needs to be something that's fun, but a whole family game rather than a kids game that we all just play. We've already got giggle wiggle, hungry hippos, pop up pirate type games, so nothing like that!

Any ideas please?

Old fashioned snakes + ladders and ludo. Simpler card games like snap, pairs, go fish.

We really like "Funny Bunny" & "Connect 4"

Uno
Dobble
Snakes and ladders
Ludo

We all, adults included, like Monopoly Jnr.

Depending on your five year old, and if someone if willing to play with them, they may be a le to grasp Explodjng Kittens after a few goes. Our nearly six old can just about play.

Dibble, UNO etc all go down well here, too.

Most of these are not board games, but card or family games

Sneaky snacks squirrels - a good first board game that can get quite competitive (you can steal each other’s acorns)
Dobble
UNO
Dig-in - a bowl of plastic coloured shapes, find all the shapes on your card before the timer goes off
The sock game - similar to dig in. Both players have a sock full of objects, turn over a card, first person to retrieve object from their sock wins
Tenzi- it’s just 10 dice, played a bit like Yahtzee
5 second rule junior - categories game, one side of card for the kids, other side is for the adults. Children need to be readers though.
Melissa and Doug suspend- take it in turns to balance different shaped metal rods

there's an articulate junior I'm planning on buying but not seen it.

I was going to recommend UNO too.

Hungry Hippos! Loved that as a kid and still play now with my DD, nephew and niece

I saw something on Facebook called poop the potato. Basically you have to run to a bucket with a potato between your legs and then poop it at the end, into the bucket. Probably not everyone's taste but I can see it being hilarious.

We have hours of fun with this games compendium for our nearly 5 year old. It's excellent value. Includes snakes and ladders, ludo, draughts etc

At 5 my boy could manage to beat me at Port Royal, Skull, Rise of Augustus and No Thanks.

My DD loves orchard games. How about pop to the shops, bus stop or the three little pigs?

Labyrinth and bugs in the kitchen are great for ages 4-70

Dancing eggs! Fun as a drinking game too.
