Looking for ideas for DD 10, going on 13! I’ve already bought an Echo dot and various smaller gifts, but I’m looking for another quite exciting gift. She’s not really into toys so much now, she has a basic mobile that’s quite new and has a tablet. I’m looking to spend another £50 approx, so looking for inspiration from others.

So, help! What’s everyone else getting for their 10-11 year olds?

We need similar ideas. if she has a phone what about a photo printer? Or a 3D pen? Or some jewelery? or perfume? Or tickets to see something? told you we needed ideas too!

Fitbit style watch? The one we bought is around £25.

Light up box with letters? According to DD her friend uses hers all the time.

Voucher from a store you never shop in for her and let her totally loose?

Jewellery or make up box.
Create your own jewellery set.
Perfume.
Smart watch.
Bike.

DD age 10 has
a tubestar vlogging thing which you put your phoneinto and make videos etc that you can edit
a rainbocorn
smiggle alarm clock

shes also getting a phone which i am really excited about as our 'rule' is to get it for your 11th birthday but hers is not until the summer holidays and her brother is a december birthday so he got his at this time of year. she wont be expecting it and has asked to get her birthday phone a few weeks early so she can get her friends numbers from school before she moves to comp!

If she's creative, quality art materials! DS is getting a good desk easel, canvases, acrylic paints and brushes, good quality paper A3 sketch book and fine waterproof markers.
(I got quite a posh box of watercolours when I was 12, used it throughout art college, in fact only replaced it last year at 46)

P.S: There are so many great Youtube art tutorials availabe these days, DS likes Bob Ross.

Tripod & green screen if she likes making movies on her phone/tablet
Does she like Harry Potter - lots of options there including some 3D puzzles that are around £30 on Amazon.
A cookbook and baking stuff (DS the same age is after a bake-off book)
Budget 3/4 guitar (if likely to be interested in watching YouTube tutorials etc.)

Books. Ones that are a bit more 'grown up' but OK for 10. My ten year old loves Manga and Graphic Novels. I have got her one called Smile (sorry forget the author) and it's brilliant. I am hoping to get Rollergirl as well. Good pre teen story but slightly different.
She may not be into toys but one of the bigger Lego sets or some other crafts - ie something to 'do' not to 'play'.

Had the same problem. Awkward age isn’t it?!
Got DD (11) for around the same price a 3D pen with refills, slush puppy machine, nice art stuff, google play vouchers, phone cover, beats plug in headphones
