Please help - sweet or plain pastry?? Nigel Slater says plain, Paul Hollywood tells me sweet 🤷🏻‍♀️ Who do I trust? What’s your preference? 🥧

The jusrol shortcrust is fine actually. I get my kids onto that when we need them quickly and they do a good job.

I tend to buy any old mincemeat and add things to it - grated apple/cinnamon or orange zest etc.

We usually cut stars or hearts for the top. Partly makes the pastry go further but I also like how it looks, and of course you need to take the "lid" off to put brandy butter under....
