DS1 is 19, DD 17 and DS2 is 13.
We're trying to spend less this year Hmm and so they're all having 1 big thing that they've asked for. I've just written the final list for shopping tomorrow and their other presents look really dull!
They all have about 7 little things like smellies, pyjamas, undies.
Is ghis ok for teenagers or should i try and get a few more exciting things?!

They understand why you're spending less, family is on a budget, one big ticket item each? Don't reflex buy more because their pile looks dull. Read George Montbiots piece

here.

Its quality not quantity, and they're old enough to understand that. Xx

It's fine. My 16 year old has 6 things from us and none of them are 'big' gifts (shoes, game, novelty slippers, wallet, bat signal light, scratch poster).

I think it’s fine.

My eldest 2 are teens and have 1 ‘main’ and 9 smaller.

Youngest is 18 months and has quite a lot more and in bigger boxes, but I’ve spent less than half on him than I have on the other two but it looks so much more (thanks to 3 for 2 on toy offers!)

But that’s just how it is.

Last year teen ds had 2 presents (PS4 and a game) and teen Dd has about 20 (no main) but it didn’t cause any arguments

Cheers all 😊 Have finished shopping today and have gone a bit over budget, but they all have something they will open and love! And have bought DS2 something off his lift we swore we wouldnt get, because he'll love it Grin But we stuck to the one big present deal
